Parking on Texel
It costs € 2.50 per hour for parking from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 18:00. Parking is required in all villages and at the beach. You can also buy a Texel parking pass. A good alternative for a longer stay on the island!
From 1 January 2017, paid parking on all of Texel is required and the Texel parking pass has been renewed. From December 1, 2016, you can buy a day, weekly or annual pass. The e-pass is valid throughout the island, in all villages and on the beach.
Where can I buy the Texel e-pass?
The Texel e-pass can only be purchased digitally at www.texelevignet.nl or on-site at a parking machine. The Texel e-pass is available for a day, a week or for a whole year. You pay € 7.50 for a day ticket, € 15, - for a weekly ticket and € 20, - for a yearly ticket.
The new Texel e-pass is digital and linked to your car's license plate. This means that you do not have to stick a pass on the inside of your car.
How can the Texel e-pass be purchased?
The Texel e-pass can be purchased on www.texelevignet.com as of December 1, 2016 with IDEAL. In addition, the pass or a parking ticket can be purchased with your debit card or credit card, after which you will be prompted to enter your license plate number.
In addition to the Texel e-pass, you can also use SMS or call and pay the hourly rate at a parking machine.
Parking, where and how long?
With the Texel e-pass you can park in all the car parks on Texel for which paid parking is applicable. Some parking spaces are subject to a maximum parking time of 2 hours. Here you must indicate the arrival time with a blue windscreen parking disc.
