Texel seal watching

In the area around the "Eierlandse Gat", there are around 1500 normal seals and ± 1000 gray seals!

When the water begins to recede at low tide, large groups of seals crawl onto the dry areas to enjoy the sun and the rest.

Sil allows the boat to float along the sandbanks with the stream. The seals are familiar with the blue silhouette of the 'de Vriendschap' ship, so it can approach the animals very closely.

As the only passenger ship, we sail around this unique piece of northern Wadden sea. The journey takes ± 1.5 hours.

For questions you can always contact the sailor, who also has binoculars available.
